Yesterday was an exciting day for me as I celebrated my first Mother's Day! I feel so blessed to be Cadence's mom. She is the closest thing to perfection that I have ever seen. This time last year I was 5 months pregnant and spent most every day trying to imagine what being a mother would be like. All I can say it is everything and more that I pictured. Being a mom is the best thing that ever happened to me besides marrying Ken of course :)
We spent the day at Ken's sister house in Huntington Beach. Each year The Cotton Family hosts a champagne brunch for all of the mothers. This years spread was the best so far. Everything from home made omlettes to a carving station was set up. It was great because all of the men cook while the women enjoy good company, good food and free flowing champagne.
